What could be causing my Dell Latitude E7470 to shut down unexpectedly and display a critical error?
I have a Dell Latitude E7470 laptop with an i7 6th generation processor that I bought second hand eight months ago. It has been working fine until recently, when it started to shut down randomly without warning, especially when I use Chrome or switch between profiles. It also shuts down when the battery level drops below 50%, and then shows a yellow/orange light near the power button when I turn it back on.
I have tried updating the BIOS and the drivers, but they are already up to date. I have also checked the battery health and capacity, and they seem to be normal. I have run a malware scan and fixed some corrupted files, but the problem persists. The laptop shuts down even at 40% battery now. This is very frustrating and inconvenient, as I need to use the laptop for my SAT preparation. How can I fix this issue?
